Leben

Battmann war um 1840 Organist in Belfort, später in Vesoul und Dijon, wo er auch verstarb. Er veröffentlichte insgesamt 456 Werke, hauptsächlich im Bereich der Orgel- und Klaviermusik, sowie geistliche und weltliche Chorwerke.
